Just In Case You Want To Know

  1. How wonderful, a reading thoughtful young girl. Keep reading and writing! Writing helps to digest all the good ideas. And to create your own idea of the world. I think you are on a good track!

  2. Classic, Please accept my apologies. I don’t believe I have acknowledged your ‘Like’ of my tale about the Twits. In my obsessive desire to ‘bash down’ as much as I can (of increasingly poor quality it seems to me) I have a tendency to overlook the follow up/feedback element of this blogging lark.

I would like to make up a little for this sloppy oversight. Having stopped by your blog this morning, I am very impressed with what I have seen. I do like your style. I am not sure I am suitably qualified to give you any advice – that is assuming you want any – save keep it up.

As I write, I have a thrillingly ferocious electrical storm going on right above my head. The thunder has been deafening, while the flashes of lightning huge. I have seen some pretty impressive storms, but nothing like this here, on the outskirts of London. It feels as though I am in the middle of nowhere. Just as well, cause there’s nothing on TV!

    Best wishes

    • Don’t worry about it! If I lost a nickel for every time I failed to visit a blog reader’s site…

You have a grand talent for writing! Thanks for the comment!

  3. Hello there Hannah Elizabeth…… Believe it or not, my daughter is named Hannah Elizabeth……. A great name for truly talented young ladies 🙂

    • That’s grand! 😀 My mom picked out my name while watching a soap opera when she was 7 months pregnant, apparently a main character that died was named Hannah… Thank you for your comment! I highly enjoy your blog!

  4. wow girlfriend! I was floored to learn that you are only 17! Your writing is beautiful and your words are amazing. I envy your writing talent. I wish I had the outlook and awareness that you have when I was your age.
Life is too short..take it all in, live it and love it.
I look forward to reading more of your blog! 🙂

    • I’m not easily bored, Madame 😉 Though it is grand that you find the profession to be an honorable one 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! I love your blog!

      • Of course I do. It’s the course I was on, once upon a time. If I could splinter and have two lives, I’d be a chartered FP in York by now. And thanks to you, too! 🙂

  5. I sincerely hope you’re happy with the other road you took 🙂 Though I do wish an awful lot that one had two lives, so we could make different key choices in life and see how it all works out. Part of me wants to be a mom when I’m out of college and the other wants to become another notorious workaholic. If only if only…

    • My goodness, girl. Every time you say something else, you hit on yet another one of my “things”. ::suspicious eyes:: You didn’t read my journal, did you…

  6. I can’t believe you can have a 20 before 20 list…you write so wonderfully I had assumed you must be much older and have been educated quite thoroughly….fantastic to see such young, and genuine talent! Do keep it up 🙂

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂 Nice to see a fellow Texan. Your writing is amazing, you remind me of a younger version of myself – before my imagination took a permanent vacation. Follow your passion!

    • I was glad to come across your blog! At this point in time I have to say being Texan ain’t so grand – this heat is dreadful, but it will no doubt be worth the inevitable snow that will come in the Winter. Good ‘ol dependable bipolar Texas weather 🙂
      Thanks for the comment 😀

      • Texas, especially this summer, has stretched me to my limits of sanity. If I didn’t have my blog, I don’t know what I would have done for distraction from the endless tired heat. If you’re in Austin, check out the bake sale to fundraise for Bastrop, if you come out to Round Rock on Oct 1 you can taste my food instead of just drooling on the keyboard 😛

  8. Dear Classic Hannah-Elizabeth, thanks for visiting my blog. If you go back to a few of my earlier posts I suspect you’ll find we have a fair amount in common, as I can see in and ‘between the lines’ on your own site. I admire your thoughtful approach and the wit and dedication that got you blogging at a much earlier age than I managed! I’ll take that as further inspiration to keep plugging away, and hope that you’ll find as much fulfillment in doing so as I have. Cheers!
    Kathryn

    • Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog and even take note of the content, I’m not sure I would even bother reading what I write, honestly. Even reading your comment makes me want to subscribe to your blog – in fact, I’ll add it to my blogroll.
      Take care of yourself 🙂

  9. 17, eh? you’re pretty wise for 17. i’m impressed 🙂 and your writing is beautiful. just beautiful.

btw. i live in round rock 🙂

    • Thank you, I’m glad you think you 🙂
Ya’ll in Round Rock are lucky ducks, at least the weather is a bit milder there from what I hear 😀

  10. Naive? No.
    Inexperienced. Yes.
    You’re only 17.
I’ve read a couple of your posts and you’re not giving yourself enough credit. You’re quick and learn fast.
I love the fact that you KNOW you’re only 17 and want to enjoy these years. You have perception beyond what I ever had at your age. Your insight on life is amazing. And you have an awesome writing talent! Maybe on the side you could be a writer.

    • Thank you grandly 🙂 My grandmother told me once of a flashback she had when she was 60, she was combing her hair one morning in front of a mirror when she had a sudden, vivid memory of a 20 year-old version of herself, combing her hair. I suppose it made me look in the mirror a bit differently, because I know one day I’ll be fixing my make up for the day and notice a wrinkle that I hadn’t anticipated. I’ll think to myself, “Oh, no, I’m much too young.” and then come to a fantastic and terrible revelation that I am not as young as I once was. It’s a bit of a frustrating experience, being aware. Because honestly I would have expected that time would stand still for me more, but it still zips on past without hesitation.
Thank you for stopping by 🙂

  11. Hi! It’s so nice to meet a fellow WordPresser who is near to my age. I am 20 and I find that most of my readers are older than me (not that I mind a whit!) But it is lovely to find someone closer to me.

We seem to have a lot in common. Your banner of the typewriter made me do a double take, as it is identical to photos of my own typewriter I published a few days ago. I too am an avid reader, but it seems you put me to shame (so many authors I do not recognise!) and three years my junior to boot.

I am so looking forward to perusing more of your posts and chatting to you further.

    Louise 🙂

    • Young bloggers do seem to be a rarity on WordPress (I’m certain they’re all on Tumblr). I’ve just looked at your photographs – you have a beautiful typewriter! I, too, own a Royal typewriter, I’ve named it (creatively enough) Royal 🙂
Thanks grandly for commenting! And I too am looking forward to blogging with you 😀

  12. hey, thank you very much for the ‘like’ on my blog! You sound very self-aware for your age which is fantastic. Your writing style is also beautiful. Best luck of in pursuing your dreams!

  13. Here are three more books by dead guys that changed my life. Both were psychologists and champions of imagination.

“Memories, Dreams, Reflections,” is Carl Jung’s autobiography.

“Man and his Symbols,” (1968) is the first introduction to Jung’s thought that I read. Jung wrote the first section, and it was finished by several close colleagues after his death in 1961.

“Revisioning Psychology,” by James Hillman, was a kind of manifesto by a most influential post-Jungian thinker, who died last October.

I have a feeling you will enjoy these.

    • Fantastic!! I know any books recommended by you will be excellent, I’m currently finishing up “Save The Cat!” I decided to check it out after reading your review on your blog. Thank you, sir! 😀

  14. Hi Hannah!
Thank you for the Like on my blog.
Your blog is very interesting, and full of thoughts that are expressed in a lucid manner. Your style of writing is really gripping. At one point of time I wanted to study psychology but didn’t for reasons a many. I think your blog will bring me the knowledge on the subject that I used to seek. 🙂
It’s great to know some one like you.
    Keep writing. 🙂
